Walk with lions on a half-day tour at Ukutula Lion Park.

This beautiful 260 hectare game reserve is situated on the outskirts of Johannesburg in the lush South African bushland and offers visitors the amazing opportunity of walking with one of Africa’s most fearsome predators. While the park acts as a breeding and research centre for lions there is also a good variety of other wildlife to be observed such as antelope, giraffe, zebra, caracal, hyena and cheetah as well as over 200 bird species. Take an amazing walk through the bushland with some of the centre’s younger lions as they play, climb trees, wash their whiskers and scamper down to the dam for a cool drink. Once the lions become older and their natural hunting instincts more established they become too rough to play with and are placed into large enclosures and later released into game reserves.

The morning visit begins with a lion walk while the afternoon visit concludes with the walk.
